Cruisin’ into 2023

Our first run for 2023 was back to Curly’s mountain retreat at the Gold Coast. After meeting at Yatala, we cruised to Gaven, arriving in time to enjoy afternoon tea together.

Afternoon tea was served on the deck, and looking out toward Southport broadwater, we could see the ocean above the tree tops on such a beautiful day.

then it was time to head for the shed while the ladies relaxed with the cool breeze on the deck.
It seemed that we were seeing double with these two ’37 Ford cabriolets with slight variations of body styles. The one with the wooden windshield is Curly’s own project, while the other belongs to Tom. Curly’s will have a rumble seat while Tom’s has a trunk. Both will be flathead powered of course.
We even made time for a ‘Club meeting’
After our meeting, we trekked back up the hill to fire up the BBQ
